Rush House is an established and respected organisation that develops its services in response to the needs of the most vulnerable people in Rotherham and surrounding areas.

SUPPORT WORKER

Based at: Lindum Terrace

Hours : 24 hours average weekly

Salary : £17,835 per annum ( £11,569 pro rata 24 hours)

Rush House are seeking to employ a new Support worker to join our existing team working with Young People who will have been homeless, who may have complex needs and are accommodated in our hostel. You must have a positive and enthusiastic approach and be committed to helping them manage their tenancy and achieve independent living.

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of the issues faced by homeless people and those with complex needs and can demonstrate the skills needed to motivate and engage with this vulnerable client group.

The successful candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to equal opportunities.

Applicants should be aware that duties may involve lone working supported by relevant policies and procedures. This post will involve working nights, evenings and weekend on a rota basis.

The post holder will be expected to work within the agreed hours and shift patterns which are relevant to the service. This may be reviewed from time to time to ensure services are accessible to service users and meet their needs.
