Rush has been a registered delivery centre for AQA units for the past 5 years.

We took the decision to become a registered delivery centre, as we often found that a lot of young people who came to Rush, due to their circumstances, had fallen out of mainstream education. We knew that so many young people had anxiety and fear of going back into studies and that they had nothing much to show for the work they had done. We believed that creating some basic life skills focused units that they would be doing in everyday life, would give them something to show for their work and ultimately increase their confidence and self-esteem. We started slowly, focusing on such as debt management, healthy eating and living, food hygiene, sexual heath, but soon expanded the offer to incorporate AQA’s into specialist sessions, such as focusing on employability skills and alongside specialist speakers supporting resilience in life.  Rush now offers over 40 units on so many different areas.
