An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our well-established and supportive team at Rush. This role will be responsible for supporting Rush to develop and deliver our Life Skills programme to young people accommodated in our service as well as providing sessional activities to other vulnerable people accessing our Education, Employment and Training (EET) services. Working alongside the Life Skills Co-ordinator and Tenancy Skills Coach predominantly you will develop and deliver meaningful activities to support individuals to develop their independent living skills as well as supporting our EET team to deliver sessions to individuals to develop their confidence and self-esteem in preparation for employment. You will work closely with other community groups and statutory partners to bring in a variety of support services to meet their needs and will be responsible for developing and delivering our AQA units.

We are looking for a highly skilled individual who is motivated and committed to supporting vulnerable members of our community as we aim to deliver on our promise of “empowering all to be happy healthy and safe”. You must have a good understanding of the issues faced by vulnerable people who may be homeless and/or lack any other support and be able to demonstrate the skills needed to motivate and inspire them to reach their potential and achieve independent living. We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual who can work collaboratively with our Head of Services to broaden the scope of our Life Skills offer and create opportunities for this to develop into a standalone service.

It is vital that you are prolific in the use of IT and online communication platforms. The successful candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to equal opportunities. We would like you to have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with appropriate business insurance cover during working hours – but this is desirable and not essential. In the absence of this we would need an individual who is confident and capable of maximising public transport to support our people to connect with opportunities in the wider community.
